How We Do It
Community
Embodying the best practices and standards of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, MPR heavily relies upon the social-experiential model of recovery. This non-authoritarian approach offers our residents opportunities to develop life skills, find comfort in who they are and form meaningful relationships that will support their transition into long-term recovery.
Connection
Above all things, we believe in a person centered approach. Each of our residents has specific needs, so our primary objective is to form a meaningful relationship with each of them from day one. Once we have a better understanding of who they are and who they hope to be, we can be of maximum service to their recovery process. Individual recovery coaching, daily mindfulness practices and monthly nature excursions are just a few of the ways we build relationships with our residents, and create opportunities for them to make the most important connection - the one with themselves.
Comfort
The first thing most folks ask about our organization is what we provide. While we are proud of our scheduled offerings, the most important service we have is the home itself. At the end of addiction, most individuals resonate more with feelings of uselessness than self-worth. We believe having a home our residents are proud to live in is among the most important things we can provide. Full sized memory foam mattresses, bamboo sheets, and a grind-to-order espresso machine are just a few of the small efforts we've made to make our up-scale residence as cozy as possible.
